Discover the Red Sea’s new hiking trails

Plans to develop hiking trails and climbing facilities have been given the green light.

The Red Sea is gearing up to become Saudi Arabia’s ultimate entertainment hub. With several new resorts, like Six Senses Southern Dunes and The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, the region is already a must-visit destination. Now, it’s adding hiking experiences to its impressive list of attractions.

Red Sea Global has teamed up with the Saudi Climbing and Hiking Federation (SCHF) to boost adventure tourism in the region. This collaboration aims to elevate the guest experience by offering top-notch hiking and climbing adventures to those who stay or visit the Red Sea resorts.

By introducing hiking, the Red Sea also aims to host climbing competitions, hiking festivals, and much more. These will showcase the region’s natural beauty and establish it as an outdoor destination for thrill-seekers.

In an effort to make this a successful collaboration, SCHF will provide valuable training and certification for hiking and climbing guides. These guides will include detailed information on trails, climbing sites, logistics, and safety guidelines. Additionally, qualified trainers will be onboarded to ensure the safety of those who dare to take the leap.

Details of when the hiking trails or climbing facilities will be operational are still under wraps. But with over 50 resorts opening in the near future — and some already welcoming guests — it’s only a matter of time before this development will come to life.

With its new hiking experiences and world-class resorts, the Red Sea is the perfect destination for your next adventure.
