The cultural programme includes exhibitions, workshops and talks.

It’s time to paint the town. Art Week Riyadh takes place in the capital’s JAX District and celebrates Saudi Arabia’s art scene. Running from 5 to 21 April, it brings together local and international galleries. So, if you’re looking for some cool culture, here’s what you need to know.

This marks the inaugural Art Week Riyadh, organised by the Visual Arts Commission under the Ministry of Culture. The event aims to nurture, celebrate, and position Riyadh as a global cultural destination and put it on the map for its arts and culture offerings.

This year’s theme is At The Edge, which aims to create a cultural exchange, dialogue, and collaboration. The event invites art enthusiasts to explore various areas of arts and culture. The programme includes curated gallery exhibitions, rare displays of private collections, talks, workshops, and performances.

JAX District is a buzzing creative hub in Riyadh. If you want to make a day (and night of it), there are fun things to do. The area is home to hip cafés, events and more. The cafés include Acoustic Bistro and Café, Archi, Bohemia Café Records and Bunawa Café.

Personage Store is a concept store with a café, creative studios, and events, including talks and workshops. Beast House, created by the team behind MDLBeast Soundstorm, is a members-only club and community where music lovers can connect. It is aimed at emerging and established artists.
