Saudi Arabia is turning up the volume at the Esports World Cup. Running from 4 July to 25 August, the event takes place in Riyadh’s Mohammed Abdo Arena. It brings together the world’s greatest gamers. MDLBeast has teamed up with the event to create AFT_r, and the entertainment includes one of the world’s biggest DJs, Steve Aoki.

Steve Aoki will close the Esports World Cup in Riyadh and perform on Sunday, 25 August. He hails from Miami, Florida, and grew up in Newport Beach, California. He is best known as a DJ and record producer and has worked with some of the world’s biggest artists, including Afrojack, Backstreet Boys, Iggy Azalea, and Will.I.Am.

Over his career, Steve Aoki has become one of the highest-earning electronic music artists. In 2019 he published his memoir, Blue: The Color of Noise. Plus, he has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance and Electronica Album.

The Esports World Cup was previously known as Gamers8. Now, in its third edition, it aims to tap into the gaming market, and create an accessible yet professional environment. The festival not only showcases how gaming can add to the economy, but how it can be a source of fun.
