Headliners, Everglow burst onto the K-pop scene in 2019. Known for their powerful performances, the group’s name reflects their desire to shine eternally and captivate audiences with their music. They gained recognition with hits like Adios and Bon Bon Chocolat.
Dreamcatcher will headline the second day of KCON Riyadh 2023, The girl group’s music combines elements of rock, metal, and pop, setting them apart from the conventional K-pop style. With a dedicated international fanbase, known as “InSomnia,” Dreamcatcher continues to redefine the boundaries of K-pop and will be one of the highlights of the Riyadh event.
In 2012, KCON launched in Los Angeles, United States. The aim is to celebrate Korean culture including food, drink, film, fashion and, of course, music. Now, it takes place across the world in Australia, France, Japan, Mexico, South Korea and Thailand, and attracts more than one million visitors each year. Plus, this is not the festival’s first time in the Middle East, as it was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2016.
Saudi Arabia has had a tradition of welcoming the biggest K-pop stars. In 2019, BTS were the first foreign artists to play a solo show in Saudi Arabia. The group played a sell-out show at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh. Plus, BLACKPINK performed in Riyadh earlier this year.
