New additions have been made to the lineup of over 200 artists.
Just when we thought we couldn’t get more excited about MDLBeast Soundstorm 2024, Tyler, The Creator has joined the star-studded concert lineup. The event takes place from 12 to 14 December 2024.
Tyler, The Creator hails from California, United States. The rapper, producer, and visionary artist is known for his eclectic style and boundary-pushing music. Rising to prominence as a member of the alternative hip-hop collective Odd Future, Tyler quickly carved out a niche with his raw and unfiltered approach. His debut album Goblin (2011) featured the breakout track Yonkers, a gritty, controversial song that set him apart in the hip-hop scene.
Tyler’s music has since evolved, blending genres like jazz, soul, and funk. His 2017 album Flower Boy featured hits like See You Again and Boredom, showing a softer, more introspective side. While his critically acclaimed 2019 album IGOR solidified his status, with the hit single EARFQUAKE becoming a commercial success.
Rapper Latto will also be making her debut in the Kingdom. Hailing from Atlanta, Latto’s music blends catchy hooks with assertive verses, reflecting her bold personality. In 2021, her single Big Energy became a major hit, solidifying her place in modern hip-hop. Her discography includes collaborations with Cardi B, Childish Gambino, Lil Baby, Lil’ Wayne and Megan Thee Stallion.
Launched in 2019, MDLBeast Soundstorm has consistently drawn both local and international talent. Taking place on the outskirts of Riyadh, the festival is like the Glastonbury of the Middle East, just in the middle of the desert rather than a muddy field.
Big names such as Akon, Black Coffee, Russ and Tems are also joining the party, alongside MDLBeast Soundstorm regulars Afrojack, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, DJ Snake, G-Eazy and R3Hab.
