The café meets record shop has opened in JAX District.

Saudi, welcome to a cool cultural hotspot. Bohemia Café and Records has opened in Riyadh, and brings together art, coffee and vinyl records. So, if you’re after a hip hangout, put this on your radar.

Bohemia Café and Records first opened in Al Khobar. The team were inspired by post-punk and psychedelic movements. The original concept gained a loyal following, thanks to its laidback vibes. Now, it has opened a venue in the JAX District in Diriyah, and it’s already proving popular.

Bohemia Café and Records is located in a warehouse. When you enter, it is illuminated with neon lights, from an image of a head to a sign saying “The Warehouse”. Plant pots hang from the ceiling, records line the walls and speakers are placed on the edge.

The independent music store buys and sells vinyl records. We spotted vinyl records from David Bowie, Gorillaz, Lauryn Hill, Michael Jackson, Miles David, Taylor Swift and The Beatles. If you are looking for nostalgia, it’s not just vinyl, but also cassettes and CDs.

Bohemia Café and Records’ café includes brown tables and chairs, which are scattered around the space. The hot drinks include an Americano, Boheme Latte, Cortardo, Cappuccino, Caramel Latte, Dark Mocha, Espresso, Flat White, and Hot Chocolate. The cold beverage options include a Blueberry Ice Shake, Ice Americano, Ice Latte and Ice Peach.

If the Al Khobar venue is anything to go by, look out for live music nights. Previous events have included a blues night, jazz show and open mic night. Bohemia Café and Records is open daily from 4pm to midnight.
