International restaurants just keep coming to Saudi Arabia. The latest brand making its way to the Kingdom is Jon and Vinny’s. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, the new restaurant will bring Italian flavours to Riyadh. Here’s what to expect as the new concept makes its way to Al Dabbab on 18 April.
Jon and Vinny’s restaurant was created by the friends, Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo. The aim was to create Italian food that is reminiscent of nonnas – aka Italian grandmas.
The restaurant is already popular with celebrities and has been a date night spot for A-list couples. Kim Kardashian Pete Davidson, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, and Jay-Z and Beyoncé are just some of the names who have been spotted sharing slices of pizza. Plus, Kim went so far as to share snaps of her and Pete in the restaurant on her Instagram account.
If Jon and Vinny’s original Los Angeles menu is anything to go by, Riyadh is in for a treat. The menu includes pizzas and pasta galore. The pizzas include a Breakfast Pizza 2.0 with potato, egg and red onion, La Woman with local burrata, tomato basil and olive oil, and The Rosy with tomato and olive oil crust.
Jon and Vinny’s pastries include Hazelnut Café Bombolone, Pecan Cinnamon Roll and Raspberry Jam Bombolone. The desserts include Confetti Cookie, Mary’s Peanut Butter Cookie and Nonna’s Lemon Ricotta Cookie. Plus, the drinks include an Americano, Cappuccino, Cortado, Latte and Vanilla Bean Latte.
