Chinese hotspot Mott 32 to debut in Saudi Arabia
The UAE’s Sunset Hospitality Group is bringing the concept to Riyadh.
Saudi Arabia’s culinary scene is upping its game and becoming a hotspot for global dining concepts. The arrival of restaurants like SUSHISAMBA and Zuma has already created waves in Riyadh, proving that the capital’s appetite for high-end gastronomy has no plans of slowing down. And now Mott 32 is making its way to the capital.
Marking its debut in Saudi Arabia, Mott 32 is known for its modern take on traditional Chinese cuisine. While details of the exact location are still under wraps, the restaurant is expected to draw massive crowds owing to its worldwide reputation.
Mott 32 Riyadh will celebrate the culture and food of modern Hong Kong, marrying traditional Chinese cookery and modern culinary innovation. Incidentally, the venue is named after the address of Manhattan’s first Chinese convenience store, which opened in 1891. Inspiration for the dynamic cosmopolitan vibe hails from the spot that marks the centre of the city’s Chinatown today.
Mott 32 has earned an amazing reputation across the world and has picked up a FACT Dining Award for ‘Best Chinese Restaurant in Dubai.’ Known for blending authentic Chinese flavours with innovative techniques, the restaurant takes inspiration from Cantonese, Sichuan, and Beijing influences. Standout dishes include the 42-day Apple wood-roasted Peking Duck, signature dim sum, and Wagyu beef, among many others. These items are also expected to grace the Riyadh menu when the restaurant gears up to open doors.
The UAE’s Sunset Hospitality Group recently acquired a majority stake in Mott32’s parent company, Maximal Concepts. In addition to opening Mott 32 Riyadh, the concept is expected to expand to Los Angeles, Bali, Manila, Mumbai, and Scottsdale.
