The new venue will be opening in KAFD in Riyadh.
The UAE is filled with popular brands that are expanding around the world. South African restaurateur Natasha Sideris is bringing tashas café to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Located in KAFD, tashas in Riyadh draws inspiration from her Greek heritage and South African upbringing.
Natasha has a firm following in the region. She is from South Africa, and moved to the UAE. She opened tashas café in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and it is a popular spot. The menu includes salads, burgers and mains. Dishes include Chicken Milanese, Chicken Pistachio Salad, and Mushroom and Truffle Burger.
Natasha explains: “As much as I love cooking, I don’t enjoy complicated recipes and fussy food. I value simple, beautiful food. I want the ingredients to stand out. At tashas our food is comforting, unpretentious and honest. It’s also memorable – because we constantly strive to innovate and fascinate.”
tashas shared a post on Instagram, which stated: “tashas all the way from South Africa, London, Dubai, and opening soon in KAFD Riyadh”. Plus, it includes images of previous cafés, which will give you an idea of the cool, contemporary vibe.
Today, there are 15 tashas cafés in South Africa and five in the UAE. Natasha is also behind Avil by tashas, and Le Parc by tashas. She worked with Krystian Hordejuk to create Galaxy Bar in DIFC, Dubai, which has been featured on the World’s 50 Best Bars 2023. Flamingo Room by tashas can be found in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Riyadh.
