The Sift opens a beautiful bakery in Riyadh
The contemporary café is located in Hittin.
Coffee connoisseurs, we have some tasty news. The Sift is a new café, which has opened in Riyadh. Located in Hittin, the venue is already proving popular, and here’s what you need to know.
The Sift is easy to spot, thanks to its bright red neon sign. The exterior includes long floor-to-ceiling windows which overlook a green garden. The stairs lead into the contemporary café, which is filled with the aromas of freshly baked treats.
The Sift boasts a sleek and sophisticated design. At the centre of the venue is a traditional carpet with marble pillars. On top of each one is a pretty placement of flowers, candles and books. The bright and airy space spans soft shades of beige, white and grey, which are punctuated by deep reds. Even the staff are dressed in all white with white aprons, trousers, shirts and shoes.
The Sift is a superb spot to sip the day away. Grab a seat by the windows or the open kitchen. Look out books on food and drink, from Tom Kerridge’s Pub Kitchen to Alain Ducasse’s Manufacture.
The Sift serves a range of hot and cold drinks, and baked goods and pastries. The food includes a Creamy Cheese Pecan, Cinnamon Cream Brûlée and Plain Croissant. Head over to the counter and take your pick from croissants shaped like bow ties to sweet treats. Plus, there are cakes that can be ordered by the slice or as a whole.
