The luxury hotel will be home to 195 guest rooms.

Diriyah is undergoing a remarkable transformation, evolving into a cultural city on the fringes of Riyadh. While developments in this district have been popping up left, right and centre, the official groundbreaking ceremony for The Ritz-Carlton, Diriyah was recently held.

Scheduled to open its doors in 2026, The Ritz-Carlton, Diriyah, is poised to be a beacon of luxury and sophistication in this burgeoning cultural destination. With 195 guest rooms, including 34 suites, a speciality restaurant, an all-day dining venue, meeting rooms, an outdoor pool, a fitness centre, a kids club, and a signature spa, the hotel promises to blend The Ritz-Carlton’s legendary service with exquisite design elements.

While The Ritz-Carlton opening is still some years away, Marriott has several other properties in the Kingdom that will open soon. In 2024 Bab Samhan Hotel, SO/ Jeddah, The Jeddah EDITION, and three properties on Sindalah Island in Neom will all welcome guests. Marriott also has plans to bring the EDITION Hotel and a Moxy Hotel to Diriyah.

Diriyah is emerging as the foremost historic cultural destination in Saudi Arabia. The sprawling hub will transform this historic town into a global tourism destination, rooted in its cultural and historical identity. Styled in Najdi architecture, an authentic Saudi Arabian building style, the destination transports visitors to the bygone centuries when the Arabian Peninsula was born. Diriyah’s grand transformation is set to include cultural institutions, museums, local and international restaurants, hotels and more.
