Development in Saudi Arabia is advancing at a very fast pace, and Riyadh is leading the charge. Among the exciting new projects popping up is Mall of Saudi. This space aims to elevate the leisure and retail experience in the Kingdom by bringing one of the world’s largest indoor ski slopes and snow parks — Ski Saudi.
Inspired by the success of Ski Dubai at the Mall of the Emirates, Ski Saudi will span 40,000 square meters. Set to be the largest indoor ski slope and snow park in the region, it promises a snow-filled adventure for visitors of all ages. This experience will make you forget that you’re in the middle of the desert. The attractions inside include rides, snow play areas for kids, and a chance to meet Ski Saudi’s penguins. Adding to the charm, Ski Saudi’s Winter Garden will feature chalet-style restaurants where you can soak in snowy views while enjoying hearty meals.
Mall of Saudi will be located in Riyadh’s Al Narjis District. And it will not just house Ski Saudi but will also feature over 600 stores and over 100 dining options to suit every taste. It’s also backed by the Majid Al Futtaim Group which is known for delivering world-class experiences.
Plans to feature a five-star luxury hotel with Mall of Saudi are also on the agenda — mimicking its UAE counterpart, Mall of the Emirates, which is connected to Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates. This property will feature 275 units including premium chalets inspired by the Alps. Those choosing to stay here will also have access to a private ski slope to make their experience more exclusive.
Mall of Saudi will also feature entertainment options such as a 38-screen VOX Cinema and Magic Planet.
Mall of Saudi was initially expected to open in early 2024, however, plans for further progress were put on hold last year. Work has now resumed on the mall but details of when this will be completed are still undisclosed.
But with Ski Saudi making its way to Riyadh, this wait is definitely worth it.
