Saudi Arabia has been welcoming a range of world-famous sports events. It has hosted major boxing, football and tennis events. Now, it is set to host its first Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters. Running from 30 August to 7 September, it will be held at Green Halls, Riyadh. 

Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters’ first event is Battle on the Blaze. The event will welcome some of the world’s biggest snooker players. Ronnie O’Sullivan will headline the event and compete for the trophy. The line-up also includes Mark Allen, John Higgins, Shaun Murphy, Mark Selby, Judd Trump, Kyren Wilson and Mark Williams.

Dr Nasser Saab Al-Shammari, Saudi Arabia Billiards & Snooker Federation President, explained: “The Kingdom is a destination for hosting the world’s biggest international sports events. We are thrilled to host a tournament of this stature in the sport, which is attended by many international stars, whose participation will contribute to the exchange of experiences between the participating players, entertain audiences around the world, and develop Saudi talent in the game of snooker.”

Steve Dawson, Chairman of WST, added: “We are thrilled to bring a world ranking event to Saudi Arabia for the first time, and this is a massive event for the players with the biggest prize money for any tournament other than the World Championship. The all-time greats will be determined to go all the way to the trophy.

Tickets for Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters are available now and start from SAR 12.50. Kids under 12 years old will get 50 per cent off.
