MMA Fighter Biaggio Ali Walsh will continue in his grandfather’s footsteps.

Let’s get ready to rumble, Riyadh. Sports star Biaggio Ali Walsh is making his pro debut in the Professional Fighters League. Descending from boxing royalty, he is the grandson of the world-famous fighter Muhammad Ali.

The Professional Fighters League and General Entertainment Authority has announced that it will host an event on 24 February, which is part of Riyadh Season. The Champions Vs Champions fight includes four fights, which include PFL champions and the current Bellator champions. 

The fights see Renan Ferreira meet Ryan Bader, Impa Kasanganay meet Eblen. PFL champion Magomed Magomedkerimov will meet Bellator welterweight Jason Jackson. Plus, Biaggio will make his pro debut at 155 pounds.

Biaggio lives in Las Vegas, and his mother is Raheda Ali Walsh. He has previously fought in mixed martial arts, and later moved to boxing. He has spoken about how the sport has helped him feel closer to God.

Turki al-Alshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, explained: “Riyadh Season is putting on some of the biggest fight events around and the PFL Champions vs Bellator Champions certainly belongs in that category. We are delighted to be the host for this first-of-its-kind event, which will see some of the most exciting matchups and break new ground in the world of combat sports”. 

Saudi Arabia is no stranger to hosting world-class sporting events. The country holds the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, and King Abdullah Sports City Arena has hosted sporting events across football, WWE and boxing.

Riyadh Season will also see Tyson Fury take on Oleksandr Usyk in a boxing match dubbed the Ring of Fire,w which will be held at the Kingdom Arena on Saturday, 17 February. While Rumble in Riyadh welcomes Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou for a 10-round boxing match, but the exact date has not yet been confirmed.

The PFL fight will be available to watch on ESPN+ PPV and DAZN.
