What’s better than watching one legendary footballer? Two legendary footballers. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will battle it out at The Last Dance, which is part of the Riyadh Season Cup. Kicking off in February 2024, the event will take place at the newly opened Kingdom Arena and here’s how you can watch the action.
The football event sees Al Nassr’s Ronaldo play Inter Miami FC’s Messi. If you’re a Saudi football fan, there are exciting events on the horizon. Inter Miami will face Riyadh’s Al Hilal, and Al Nassr will face Al Hilal.
The Riyadh Season Cup will run from Monday, 29 January, to Friday, 8 February. The action-packed tournament will kick off with Inter Miami facing Riyadh’s Al Hilal. The exciting showdown between Messi and Ronaldo is scheduled for Friday, 1 February, and a match between rivals Al Nassr and Al Hilal will conclude the tournament on Friday, 8 February.
To determine the winner of the Riyadh Season Cup, the team with the most points throughout the tournament will be crowned champions. This competition marks Inter Miami FC’s first international tour.
Messi and Ronaldo both have a strong relationship with Saudi Arabia. Messi is a Saudi Tourism brand ambassador, and has been spotted in the Kingdom from Jeddah to Riyadh. Ronaldo moved his family to Riyadh and has made the capital his home. He has been spotted in restaurants including Clap, Lavash and Shabibak, and at sights ranging from Kingdom Tower to Winter Wonderland.
During Riyadh Season, there are fantastic football events. The Cristiano Ronaldo Museum opened in Boulevard City and celebrates the Portuguese player. The Legends Museum is a must for football fans, as it brings together more than 20,000 football memorabilia, a 4D cinema and a gaming zone.
