Saudi Arabia has plenty of entertainment on offer. The Kingdom is not just about deserts and camels, but a whole lot more. And while the rest of the region swelters in summer, Taif promises a mountainous haven with cooler temperatures — and this summer, it’s bustling with activity as part of Taif Season 2024.

Taif Season brings the exciting Taif Summer Races back to life. Running until 28 September, covering 13 weekends, the King Khalid Racecourse will play host to over 350 races. Watch as jockeys atop their horses race to the finish line to claim the trophy.

Races will begin at 3pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday and end at 8.30pm, promising over five hours of thrilling, nail-biting spectacles. And they’re all free to watch which means you don’t need to splurge. But if you’re looking for a more luxurious race-watching experience, private suites are available for booking.

But Taif Season isn’t just about horse racing – it’s a full-blown festival. As the racecourse lights up for night racing, plenty of food stalls gear up to whisk you away on a culinary adventure. With plenty of gobal flavours on the menu, you are sure to find something to sink your teeth into.

Beyond food and dining, the King Khalid Racecourse transforms into a hub of entertainment with live music and free family activities. So whether you’re a foodie, a music lover, a hardcore race fan or just looking for a fun family outing, Taif Season has something for everyone.

Apart from the Taif Season, Saudi Arabia hosts 10 other seasons throughout the year. Aseer Season and Jeddah Season are also currently in swing. Diriyah Season, AlUla Season, Sharqiah Season, Red Sea Season, Riyadh Season, Eid Season and Ramadan Season are also a permanent fixture on the annual Saudi calendar as well.
