The two superstars will come face-to-face on 27 December.

Winter is fast approaching, which means it’s alfresco season in the Middle East. With a bunch of exciting events lined up for the coming months, one standout is Riyadh Season 2023, which brings sports, shopping and excitement to the capital.

As part of Riyadh Season, the Saudi capital is about to witness a showdown of epic proportions. Brace yourselves because on Wednesday, 27 December, two tennis titans, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, will go head-to-head on the court. But before that, the ladies take centre stage as Tunisian tennis star Ons Jabeur and Aryna Sabalenka battle it out on Tuesday, 26 December. Now, that’s what we call a star-studded lineup.

The Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz action unfolds at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, a colossal venue that can comfortably host more than 40,000 fans. You can bet your last riyal that this place is going to be packed. The grandeur of this venue will be on full display on Riyadh Season’s opening night, 28 October, as two giants of the boxing world, Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, face off in the ring. Talk about a knock-out start to the festivities.

Riyadh Season burst onto the scene in 2019 and has since become the Middle East’s largest and most extravagant festival. This year’s theme, Big Time, is a testament to the Kingdom’s ambition to bring the best of arts, culture, and entertainment to the capital. It’s set to take Riyadh by storm, with an array of new experiences, including appearances by some of the biggest celebrities from around the world, such as Mike Tyson, Amr Diab, Imagine Dragons, Blackpink, and many more.

Tickets for the event at KIngdom Arena on 27 December are now on sale via webook.com. Prices start from SAR 100 for upper category, SAR 200 for middle category and SAR 1,000 for VIP.

It’s a season that promises unforgettable moments, making this winter one for the books.
