The all-business class experience is taking off in the Kingdom.
If you’ve been dreaming about your next getaway, Beond might have the answer. The airline has launched luxury flights from Saudi Arabia to Maldives. Get ready to travel in style – the flights will go from the Saudi capital to Male from 9 November.
Beond was founded by aviation veterans Sascha Feuerherd, Max Nilov and Tero Taskila. Created in January 2022, it is now going into commercial operations and aims to redefine the travel experience. The group raised $17 million, and had funds coming from angel investors and partners.
Beond prides itself on being a new luxury carrier. With no economy class, it offers an all-business class experience with all flat seats. The airline will fly from countries including Saudi Arabia, Germany, Switzerland and the UAE.
Beond chose Maldives as its first hub and it will initially operate a 44-seat Airbus A319 with lay-flat configuration. According to the route map, the Riyadh to Male service will be a direct flight. Plus, a return ticket from Riyadh to Male could cost up to SAR 9,000.
The flights from Zurich and Munich will make a stopover in Riyadh, and it will serve as a refuelling stop. The other initial flights are scheduled to include Munich departing 15 November and Zurich departing 17 November.
Beond’s upcoming routes include Dubai, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Paris, Singapore and Tokyo. Plus, there will be more than 50 destinations in more than 25 countries with a fleet of over 30 aircraft in the next five years.
