WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns takes on American YouTuber Logan Paul.
Do you know your powerslam from your mandible claw? Well, you’ll be thrilled to hear that WWE Crown Jewel 2022 is returning to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The eighth WWE is set to take place on 5 November, and looks to be a blockbuster event.
WWE Crown Jewel 2022 has announced its headline match, and it sees WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, take on American YouTuber – yes, really – Logan Paul.
Roman Reigns is an American professional wrestler and former football player. He is the longest reigning WWE Universal Champion. Over his career, he has been a six-time world champion in WWE.
Logan is signed to WWE but is best known as a social media star, as he has over 23 million YouTube subscribers. He began his boxing career in 2018, and his previous fights have been against KSI and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
While boxing fans are questioning why Logan has been booked so early in his career, it will draw a crowd both in Saudi and on social media. Logan has a big following in the kingdom, and rumour also has it that none other than His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince is a fan.
As the kingdom welcomes WWE Crown Jewels, it highlights its eagerness to host international sports events. The country hosted the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and Jeddah’s King Abdullah Sports City Arena hosted sporting events across football, WWE and boxing. Just recently, The Rage on the Red Sea match, Anthony Joshua V Oleksandr Usyk, attracted a global audience.
WWE Crown Jewel 2022 is scheduled to begin at 9pm, and can be watched exclusively on Shahid. The venue has not yet been confirmed, but check in with FACT for the latest details.
