The beachfront retreat is backed by Emaar Properties.

The UAE is no stranger to luxurious properties. From stunning resorts in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to the upcoming ones in Ras Al Khaimah, there’s no shortage of hotels. And while these cities often steal the spotlight, Sharjah — the cultural capital of the UAE — isn’t one to stay far behind either. The emirate will be home to Palace Al Khan, Sharjah’s first waterfront resort.

Located in the Al Khan district of Sharjah, Palace Al Khan enjoys a picture-perfect location. Situated next to the Sharjah Aquarium and Sharjah Maritime Museum, it offers views of Al Khan Beach and Corniche. This location strikes the perfect balance between cultural richness and modernity, offering an escape that blends Sharjah’s heritage with luxury.

Designed by Perkins & Will and NAGA Architects, Palace Al Khan will boast 87 keys with design elements that give a nod to the emirate’s privacy norms without compromising on experiences.

In depth details of Palace Al Khan’s dining options and other amenities remain under wraps, however guests can still expect an all-day dining restaurant, a spa, a fitness club and outdoor swimming pool and much more.

Originally announced for completion in 2020 and then pushed to 2022, Palace Al Khan’s journey has had its delays. Currently, construction is still underway. Once completed, the property will be managed by Address Hotels + Resorts and backed by Emaar. The portfolio includes Palace Downtown, Palace Dubai Creek Harbour and Palace Beach Resort Fujairah.

Palace Al Khan signals Sharjah’s ambition to keep pace with its neighbouring cities while staying true to its cultural essence. If you’re a history enthusiast or just someone looking to explore a waterfront destination, this upcoming property is the place. The opening date has not yet been confirmed.
