The average meat enthusiast is familiar with churrasco, but there’s so much more to this Brazilian culinary tradition than an open fire — it’s a way of life. And it will soon take centre stage at an all-new brunch at Brazilian restaurant Frevo in Fairmont The Palm. Originating in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, churrasco dates back to the 1700s, when gauchos – cowboys raised in regions across Southern Brazil – formed a truly unique culture and cuisine. They’d gather as a community after long days of herding cattle to dig pits and begin fires before enjoying a veritable feast of slow-roasted meats.

Now, Frevo is gearing up to transport diners to the vibrant heart of Brazil, launching a Saturday brunch rooted in churrasco on 4 November. Taking place from 1pm to 4pm, it will pair authentic flavours with dynamic entertainment for what promises to be an unforgettable experience — live DJ performances, exuberant dancers, and rhythmic drummers will collectively add an electrifying touch to the brunch experience. The experience will be brought to life by way of an uplifted menu that was thoughtfully curated by culinary virtuoso, chef Bruno Ambar.

Guests will explore a delectable array of Brazilian-inspired dishes that will satisfy even the most discerning palates, with a couple of brunch packages to choose from. For just AED 395 per person, diners can immerse themselves in a feast, complete with a selection of beverages including grape and a variety of cocktail stations offering caipirinhas, mojitos, and sangrias.

Alternatively, you can opt for the bubbles and spirits package at AED 495 for an elevated experience. Little ones aged six and below dine for free, while those aged six to 12 can join in for a special rate of AED 200. For group bookings exceeding ten guests, Frevo offers a convenient way to secure your table with a prepayment of AED 1,000 in order to ensure a hassle-free reservation process.
