All the exciting events happening at Dubai’s International Music Summit

Music and concerts are big in the UAE. While they continue to shape the nightlife in the region, the International Music Summit is set to debut in Dubai, supporting the scene and proving that music can be a powerful force for cultural exchange and creativity.

Taking place from 14 to 15 November, the International Music Summit will bring the global music industry to Dubai. Expect not only a celebration of EDM but also discussions on music education, diversity and much more. Here are the International Music Summit events you don’t want to miss.

Thursday, 14 November

Duck Soup

On the first day of the summit, IMS will be able to mingle at the Duck Soup, a networking event where you can exchange ideas, foster new friendships and discuss the day’s discussions. Hosted by Dubai-based underground brand Duck Soup, you’ll also be able to interact with industry leaders and the IMS team. Once all pleasantries are done, you can move to Farrago Bar at W Dubai – Mina Seyahi to groove to tunes by Duck Soup alongside DJs Mo Ezabi and Zenim. From 7pm to 10pm.

Collektive

Post the mixer, head over to the Playroom for Beatport’s Collektive. This event celebrates female artists leading the EDM scene in the MENA region. The lineup includes Saudi Arabia’s first female DJ Cosmica, Egyptian artist Yas Meen Selectress and Parvane from Iran, who are sure to turn up the heat. From 10pm to 4am.

The Garden

If you’re looking for a more alfresco experience, The Garden at Soho Garden Meydan has plenty to offer. Catch pop artist Stryv, originally Hamid Bashir, who brings his hits to Dubai. Featuring a mix of regional and contemporary tunes set against the backdrop of Soho Garden, this event is not to be missed. From 10pm to 3am.

International Music Summit

Friday 15 November

Secret Sunset Sessions

The second day brings Secret Sunset Sessions, hosted by Beatport and Dubai collective Honeytrap System. With the backdrop of Dubai Marina, this sunset event at Ginger Moon will celebrate the summit’s success while you dance to beats from secret guest DJs that are yet to be announced. From 5pm to 9pm.

Closing Party

The grand finale of the International Music Summit will see a closing party headlined by Deep Dish. This DJ duo comes with nearly three decades in the EDM music scene and will spin some of their most famous tunes such as Flashdance and Hideaway at Soho Garden’s HIVE. The performance will also be supported by Echnomist, Olympus and Klo. From 10pm to 4am.

International Music Summit

Saturday 16 November

Goldie

The International Music Summit provides an extended program for Project 174 fans, which will see a performance by UK legend Goldie. With a career spanning 30 years and multiple awards, Goldie will bring high energy to Dubai’s P7 Arena at Media One in Dubai Media City. Here, he’ll be joined by local talents, such as Motion, Yeomans, Kira and Finlay Lefox. From 10pm to 3am.

Dubai Drum and Bass

Adriatique

Swiss duo Adriatique will also be making their way as part of the Ushuaia Dubai Harbour Experience, presenting their show, X. Expect to be immersed in an audio-visual journey like no other. Supported by Rivo and Yulia Niko, this event promises to be one to look out for this season. From 6pm onwards.
