The curtain has risen on Abu Dhabi’s dazzling dining concept, Broadway. Located in the iconic Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, the homegrown restaurant brings 1920s glamour to the capital.
Broadway combines a modern French brasserie with British comfort food and American influences. The restaurant offers a casual yet elevated dining experience and is perfect for celebrating or socialising with friends, long leisurely lunches and after-work get-togethers.
When you enter Broadway, there is a brewery gallery with rustic barrels. The design is inspired by New York’s theatre district, and it mixes the Art Deco period with an industrial chic feel. The features include exposed steel and brick, red leather booths, and chandeliers.
Broadway can accommodate 250 guests and includes a seamless indoor and outdoor experience, thanks to the vaulted interiors and a covered terrace. Diners can choose from communal tables, corner seats and exclusive areas such as The Cellar, which are designed to provide comfort and privacy. Plus, the live entertainment ranges from 1920s-inspired acts to high-tempo DJs.
The menu offers superb sharing dishes. There are diverse options to suit every palate including Beef Wellington, Escargots, Broadway Beef Burger and Tater Tots. Plus, the desserts range from Sticky Toffee Pudding to Tarte Au Citron.
At the heart of Broadway is the main bar, and skilled mixologists refine the art of cocktails and mocktails. Take your pick from craft beers and eclectic wines by the glass, which showcase regional microbreweries. Plus, there are creative alcohol-free drinks.
On Saturdays, the culinary hotspot combines the best of British and French cuisine for a lavish afternoon soirée. The newly launched Broadway Brunch features music from a live band, premium cocktails and an enticing food menu featuring Lobster Omelette, Steak Frites, Steak Tartare, and Wild Seabass. Taking place from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, the bombastic brunch culminates with a Broadway dessert platter and is priced at AED 380 (soft beverages), AED 550 (house beverages) and AED 750 (Champagne package).
Mario Cittadini, Director of Food and Beverage of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, explained: “Broadway is set to break the mould of hotel dining. This innovative concept is the perfect accompaniment to a night at the Auditorium Theatre – where heightened theatrics meet gastronomic delights, where classics are given a creative spin, and where guests are welcomed as family. Broadway is also a venue that anyone can come to for comfort food but served in an impeccable serving setting.”
Broadway is open Sunday to Friday from 3pm to 1am, and Saturday from 12.30pm to 1am.
