Partner Content: Designed by Chef Maitha Warshaw, this experience offers a journey through the UAE’s culinary heritage.

The UAE offers many high tea experiences, from traditional offerings to those with a twist. While high tea is often associated with English heritage, it’s a concept that has also found a place in Middle Eastern culture. And to honour that, Erth Abu Dhabi has introduced an Emirati High Tea.

Paying homage to the UAE’s rich culinary heritage while embracing the tea-time tradition, the Emirati High Tea experience is designed by Chef Maitha Warshaw. “Each of the seven Emirates tells a unique story, rooted in history, culture, and the bounty of its land and sea,” she shared. “This menu is my homage to that heritage.” Known for bringing her innovative flair to classics, you can expect a playful twist to traditional Emirati bites at Erth Abu Dhabi’s Al Rayeh Lounge.

Erth Abu Dhabi

Al Rayeh Lounge promotes and prioritises Emirati hospitality. With a menu packed with flavours, you can expect to indulge in bites that are guaranteed to evoke a sense of nostalgia but also feel fresh. Some of the items include Camel Machbous, Black Loumi Tart, Liwa Date Cake, Khameer with Yegt Labneh and much more. Paired with a wide selection of teas, you will have a delightful afternoon experience.

While the dishes and tea are to be devoured, a standout feature of the Emirati High Tea is the bespoke booklet accompanying every tea stand. This booklet features all the dishes on the menu and also reveals the history, ingredients, and stories behind them. This touch adds cultural dialogue to the experience.

The Emirati High Tea at Erth Abu Dhabi offers an experience that transcends dining, providing a deeper connection to the stories and traditions of the UAE. So, if you are looking to explore Emirati culture in a delectable way, this high tea is where you ought to be.

The Emirati High Tea at Erth Abu Dhabi is available daily from 2pm to 6pm. It costs AED 220 per stand.
