And celebrating both the new year and this honour? A whole host of new and reimagined dining experiences that kick off this month. We’ve got all the details, below.

Su-she & Bubbles 

Japanese restaurant Tori No Su is inviting ladies to break up the working week with a new culinary experience available every Wednesday from 18 January onwards. Here, you can unwind and catch up while enjoying a selection of expertly crafted sushi alongside free-flowing prosecco and creative cocktails. Su-she & Bubbles will be served from 6:30pm to 8:30pm (AED 129 per person), and from 8:30pm to 10:30pm (AED 199 per person).

Sushi Sunday

Sushi enthusiasts will be satiated at Tori No Su as Sushi Sunday kicks off on 22 January. Diners will be treated to an unlimited array of artistically presented maki rolls, all expertly prepared by the talented team of Japanese sushi chefs. Priced at AED 140 per person, the Sushi Sunday experience will be available every Sunday between 6:30pm and 10:30pm.

Sushi Masterclass 

Tori No Su’s talented head chef, Yosuke Matsuoka, is set to unveil his brand-new sushi masterclass series, providing Japanese cuisine enthusiasts with an opportunity to learn how to make freshly rolled sushi. This fun and interactive experience will be available to enjoy every Sunday from 22 January. 

Not only will the culinary expert demonstrate the secrets and tricks behind his most popular signature sushi rolls, but he’ll also invite guests to create and savour their own versions of each delicious speciality. Priced at AED 150 per person, the Sushi Masterclass will be held from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

Château Ksara Wine-Pairing Dinner

MICHELIN-recognised restaurant Li Beirut will hold a curated wine dinner this month, hosted in collaboration with renowned Lebanese winery, Château Ksara. Spanning four courses of authentic Lebanese specialities – all expertly paired with a glass of Château Ksara wine – this culinary experience will be hosted by brand director, Elie Maamari. 

Elie will not only be on hand to welcome each guest, but he’ll also share facts and details about each of the aromatic wines. Diners, meanwhile, are invited to enjoy their experience out on the al fresco terrace or inside within the richly hued dining room. Priced at AED 350 per person, the Château Ksara Wine-Pairing Dinner will be available to experience exclusively on 24 January from 7pm to 11pm.

50 Best Signature Session Afternoon Tea with Karim Bourgi                       

Celebrating the fact that Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers will host the MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards for the second year in a row, the hotel will unveil its exclusive 50 Best Signature Session Afternoon Tea. Created and hosted by world-famous pastry chef Karim Bourgi and the destination’s executive pastry chef, Sumeda Palihakkara, the luxurious afternoon tea will take place from 28 and 31 January. 

Inviting guests to dine against the panoramic views of Observation Deck at 300 – the highest vantage point in Abu Dhabi – or within the welcoming ambience of the Lobby Lounge, the experience will be rooted in a delectable menu of artistic light bites. Starting with Palihakkara’s impeccable savoury recipes, diners will be treated to classic prawn cocktail, chicken salad, crab salad, leek and mushroom quiche, traditional cucumber sandwiches, and mini choux buns filled with salmon mousse.

Bourgi will then present an irresistible selection of Parisian eclairs filled with homemade hazelnut paste, creamy Saint Honoré vanilla caramel, traditional apple tarte Tatin, zesty lemon pavlova, and more special bakes created just for the occasion. Served with a choice of coffees and fresh loose-leaf teas, the experience will provide an unmissable opportunity to savour the delicacies of not one, but two of the world’s most talented pastry chefs. The experience is priced at AED 260 for seating at Observation Deck at 300, and AED 230 for seating in the Lobby Lounge. The menu will also be available to sample daily, albeit without the presence of Chef Bourgi, until the end of February.
