To step into Bleu Blanc is to leave the chaos of Downtown Dubai behind and slow down for culinary escape deep into the Provence region. Time and time again, this restaurant at The St. Regis Downtown Dubai has been hailed for its use of fresh produce and high-quality ingredients to create dishes rooted in simplicity – and the offerings at its new Saturday Brunch will follow suit.
Set to debut on Saturday, 7 May, it promises to bring something special to Dubai’s seemingly endless brunch options. The new Saturday Brunch is inspired by the charm and spirit of the Mediterranean, and will stay true to Bleu Blanc’s DNA. This will translate into a relaxed dining experience, with tableside service flowing effortlessly and complemented by a large collection of premium free-flowing beverages, live entertainment from singers Gari Deegan and Khalil B, and striking views of the sparkling Dubai Water Canal.
Curated by the talented duo of Executive Chef Stefano Micocci and the restaurant’s Head Chef Paolo Lostia, the brunch menu celebrates the spirit of the Mediterranean, so guests can expect a live crudo bar display with a selection of fresh seafood classics, as well as inspirational takes on classics – think: tuna tartar with citrus salad, buffalo mozzarella and capers, oysters with shallot mignonette, and crevete prawn cocktail. Dishes will be served tableside, starting with the beloved Bleu Blanc sourdough bread and award-winning Chateau Virant olive oil. Asparagus salad with fennel, blood orange and almond ricotta will follow.
The middle course, meanwhile, will be a saffron fregola, a balance between a grain and pasta dish – and sometimes known as “the Sardinian couscous”. Cooked on an open wood-fire grill, mains will follow with smoked seabass, BBQ lamb ribs, bone-in ribeye, and lemon and harissa marinated chicken. Ending brunch on a sweet note, of course, diners can indulge in the likes of mandarin & rum baba and chocolate profiteroles off the dessert trolley.
The beverage selection will be a premium offering including a selection of signature cocktails, rosé, red and white grape. And in line with the heritage and legacy of The St. Regis brand and its rituals, Bleu Blanc will perform champagne sabering – a technique that always adds a touch of theatrics – with each order of the champagne package. The Saturday Brunch will run every Saturday from 1:30pm to 4:30pm, starting from AED 350 for unlimited cuisine and soft beverages, AED 450 for premium alcoholic beverages, and AED 700 for the aforementioned champagne package.
