Partner Content: From front-row action to Bring Your Own Boat (BYOB) options, here’s how you can enjoy the most exciting race on water.
Dubai’s calendar is packed with exciting events — be it concerts, food festivals or sports. Likewise, one of the most-anticipated events this year is the Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix presented by P&O Marinas, bringing the most exciting racing on water to the UAE.
Taking place from 23 to 24 November, the SailGP 2025 season will kick off at Mina Rashid. This venue, with views of the Dubai skyline, promises the perfect backdrop for the event. It will not only feature the league’s identical fleet of F50’s travelling at speeds in excess of 100kph but also allows you to indulge in performances by Tinie Tempah and Craig David, along with a wide range of dining options. If you’re planning to attend — which you should be — here is the ultimate guide to ensure you don’t miss a second of the high-speed action.
Waterfront Grandstand
If you want to be right in the middle of the action, the Waterfront Grandstand is the perfect spot. This seating offers front-row views of the league’s supercharged F50s that’ll be speeding through the water faster than wind. From here, you’ll also have exclusive access to SailGP’s official Race Stadium, with big screens, live race commentary, entertainment, food and SailGP merchandise.
Waterfront Premium
If a premium experience is what you’re planning, head to the Waterfront Premium Lounge presented by Nikki Beach. Not only will you get front-row access, but also get to enjoy the live DJs spinning tunes. In fact, this seating also ensures access to performances by Tinie Tempah on 23 November, and Craig David on 24 November.
Team Base Tours
For true SailGP enthusiasts, the Team Base Tour is an absolute must. These behind-the-scenes tours take you through the Team Bases, where athletes and shore teams prepare their F50s for the race. This lets you see the technology behind these races and meet the racers sailing through the waters.
BYOB — Bring Your Own Boat
Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix gives you a chance to watch the race from the comfort of your own boat as well. All you need to do is bring your boat to the Mina Rashid exclusion zone and enjoy all the action, giving you an exclusive and premium view of the waters. Just make sure that your boat is under 80 feet, not intended for commercial use and hoists the flag that needs to be purchased for entry into the exclusion zone.
For those unversed with SailGP, it’s the world’s fastest and most thrilling water-based competition. This tournament sees 11 teams racing in identical F50 boats to reach the finish line.
Tickets are from AED 310 (waterfront grandstand one-day access) and AED 125 (kids), AED 1,220 (waterfront premium), AED 330 (kids), Dhs150 (team base tours), AED 2,070 (bring your own boat).
