The first store will be located in Diriyah, with more to follow across the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to establishing itself as the ultimate hub for all things exciting. While the Kingdom is home to various luxurious experiences, there’s always been a gap in its tech landscape but the country currently has no Apple Store. But that’s about to change because Apple has officially announced its plans to open several flagship Apple Stores across the Kingdom.

Starting in 2026, the first Apple Store will debut in Riyadh’s Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This location beautifully combines Saudi Arabia’s rich history with an Uber-luxe feel that makes it the perfect choice for the Kingdom’s Apple Store. Imagine walking into an Apple Store that features the brand’s products displayed within walls that are reminiscent of Najdi design elements. This feature alone will make it a destination to explore, not just for Apple fans but also for visitors from around the globe.

But before venturing into physical locations, Apple will launch its online store in the summer of 2025. Those interested will be able to get direct support from Apple when it comes to financing options, setup guides and any other assistance they may need.

“We’re excited to be expanding here in Saudi Arabia with the launch of the Apple Store online next year, and the first of several flagship Apple Store locations starting in 2026, including an iconic store at the stunning site of Diriyah coming later,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “Our teams are looking forward to deepening our connections with customers, and to bringing the best of Apple to help people across this country explore their passions, build their businesses, and take their ideas to the next level.”

Despite the lack of an official Apple Store, Apple has been the choice of technology in the Kingdom. Apple services, especially Apple Pay, have been essential to the daily lives of many locals. In fact, with the recent launch of the Riyadh Metro, Apple Pay on iPhone and Apple Watches has been the popular choice for commuters as they can just tap their device to ride.

As Apple opens its doors in Riyadh’s Diriyah and beyond, fans are in for an experience unlike any other. Details of the exact number of stores and where they will be located are still under wraps but stay tuned at FACT for all the insights.
