An Ibiza icon is headed to Abu Dhabi

Café del Mar will debut at Yas Bay Waterfront.

Music, Mediterranean bites, standout cocktails and a touch of Spanish charm are collectively headed to Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island in one (very trendy) package: Café del Mar. And if the name sounds familiar, it’s because the world-famous beach club has been a playground for the well-heeled since 1980, when it first debuted on the Spanish island of Ibiza. Today, Café del Mar boasts outposts in nine countries across four continents (Brazil, Azerbaijan, Thailand and Malta included).

Emma Banks, Vice President, F&B Strategy and Development, Hilton EMEA, said: “We are excited to bring the first Café del Mar to Abu Dhabi. A truly global phenomenon, we will transport that same Spanish charm and magic to Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island; serving up the most delicious Mediterranean food and pouring sumptuous drinks to fuel our guests as they dance the day and night away. We look forward to offering our guests an experience like no other!“

As for who’s bringing the original Ibiza experience to the capital? Capital Motion, the F&B and hospitality management company responsible for the dining and entertainment venues that you already know and love – think: Pacifico TIKI, Tokyo Grill and more. Set to take up residence at leisure and entertainment zone Yas Bay Waterfront alongside the likes of Siddharta Lounge, Bushra and Asia Asia, Café del Mar Yas Island is expected to open later this year.
