Tickets are on sale now for the January 2023 show.
It’s time to join the circus. The world-famous Cirque du Soleil is swinging into the UAE. Here’s your chance to watch Cirque du Soleil’s OVO in Dubai, which promises to be a fun-filled, family-friendly experience.
Cirque du Soleil’s OVO will be running from 11 to 18 January 2023 at Coca-Cola Arena Dubai. OVO tells the story of insects – Cirque-style – as it brings to life ants, spiders, crickets and dragons through music and dance. We’re talking crickets bouncing on trampolines, and spiders dancing inside webs. As for the title Ovo itself, it means egg in Portuguese and reflects the show’s eco-system narrative – flying dragons, anyone?
Cirque du Soleil started life in 1984 by the street performers Guy Laliberté and Gilles Ste-Croix. Over the years, the company has produced Las Vegas shows including The Beatles Love and Michael Jackson: One. Plus, Cirque du Soleil has won multiple accolades, from seven Primetime Emmy Awards to a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
So far, Cirque du Soleil has been performed Ovo to a massive seven million people in 155 cities in 26 different countries. As for the circus troupe itself, it brings together people 100 from 25 different countries.
Cirque du Soleil are no strangers to the Middle East. The group has performed in Saudi Arabia multiple times, including Riyadh’s Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University and the opening ceremony of Riyadh Season 2022. The group also bought the shows Fuzion to Jeddah Season and Messi 10 to Riyadh Season 2021, which was a tribute to the Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi.
Early bird tickets for Cirque du Soleil’s Ovo in Dubai are available now, and start from AED 116.
