Footie fans can enjoy shisha, shootouts and screenings.
With FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 kicking off, you don’t want to experience FOMO. If you don’t have tickets to the world’s greatest footballing event, fear not, as Expo City Dubai’s Fan City has unveiled an exciting fan zone.
Expo City Dubai’s Fan City will be able to welcome 10,000 visitors across its 1,083-acre venue. There’s everything that footie (and non-footie) fans could want for a fun day out. The area boasts Budweiser tents, shisha lounges and big television screens, so you don’t miss out on the footballing action.
There will be two family-friendly zones: Jubilee Park and Al Wasl. Jubilee Park will include football-themed games, face painting, penalty shootouts, DJs during half-time breaks, and, of course, huge screens to watch the games.
With bean bags and food trucks, it’s a place where you can chill and enjoy the vibes. Jubilee Park opens from 5pm to 1.30am on weekdays, and midday to 1.30am on weekends.
Al Wasl will offer a premium experience with four larger screens, augmented by in-game graphics projected across Al Wasl’s dome. If you’re one of the 2,500 lucky visitors who nab a ticket, you’re in for a treat, as we are expecting this to be an immersive experience.
In this zone, there’s also the chance to watch the team’s national anthems and flag-raising ceremonies. Al Wasl is open from 6pmto 9.30pm, and then 10pm to 1.30am.
Expo City Dubai’s Fan City tickets are currently not on sale but will be available from Platnumlist. Expo City Dubai’s Fan City general admission tickets start from AED 30, and are free for children under the age of 12.
Al Wasl tickets packages include general admission, VIP hospitality packages and VVIP Box seats. Plus, hospitality guests will receive a complimentary one-day Expo City Dubai Attraction Pass.
Can Expo City Dubai kick it? Yes, it can.
