Escaping the oppressive Dubai summer heat, team FACT embarked on a journey to the Turkish Rivera, flying out past Dubai’s world islands, across the sand sculpted terrain of Saudi Arabia’s desert and over the mountains of Egypt’s Sinai peninsular, before being deposited on the shores of the Mediterranean.

Bodrum is a small beachfront town situated on Turkey’s South Western coast that can easily be described as the Mykonos or Santorini of Turkey. Highly seasonal, Bodrum sees an influx of jet setters during the peak summer months and is home to an abundance of high-end restaurants (there are even branches of FACT favourites Zuma and Nusr-Et), beach clubs, luxury yachts, top-notch accommodation options and a lively nightlife scene. Life in Bodrum revolves around good food, fun times, and the sun-kissed shoreline, where rugged topography meets the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

Located in the quiet setting of Haremtan Bay and close to the charms of Bodrum’s old town, lies METT Hotel & Beach Resort Bodrum, a chic waterfront escape where a collection of hotel rooms, spacious villas and beautiful restaurants cascade down a hillside towards the Aegean Sea. The first hotel opening from Dubai-based Sunset Hospitality Group (the team behind Dubai favourites Black Tap, Drift Beach Club and the forthcoming SushiSamba) provides guests with an immediate sense of place within a resort, blending sophistication and luxury lifestyle with ease.

It’s exciting to witness the METT Social Living brand flourishing, Bathed in an abundance of natural light and offering picture-perfect sea views throughout, the first property in the portfolio is undoubtedly one to shout about!

Luxurious Living

METT Hotel & Beach Resort Bodrum boasts 103-keys across a range of rooms, suites and villas that bring international standards to the Turkish Riviera. Our abode during our three-night stay was one of the 72 elegantly designed rooms situated in the main hotel building. With views out to sea from a spacious private balcony, we’re perfectly positioned to capture the sun as it slopes below the horizon at the end of each day.

Facing the Aegean Sea, these 43SQM Deluxe Sea View Rooms are undeniably spacious. Equipped with a comfortable double bed, wooden flooring, and all the expected mod-cons, including flat-screen television, mini bar and in-room safe, the rooms offer a tranquil haven for relaxation. Decked out in shades of blue and earthy tones, the room is characterised by hand-picked accessories and a lavish bathroom boasting a walk-in rainfall shower, double vanity and natural bath amenities from Korres.

For something a little more extravagant and the ideal antidote for those travelling with family or groups of friends, METT Bodrum also features 31 luxurious two-bedroom, three-bedroom, four-bedroom and five-bedroom villas, all overlooking the sea.

Destination Dining

With so much local competition in the food and beverage sector, METT Hotel & Beach Resort Bodrum is cleverly positioned as a dining destination, offering unique restaurant concepts that are reason enough to visit the property, even if you’re not staying.

Providing an instant familiarity for UAE visitors, MOOD Rooftop Lounge and Isola Ristorante are two concepts successfully transported from Dubai to Bodrum. Offering an unrivalled nightlife experience, MOOD is ideal for sundowners that lead into elongated evenings under the stars. Sip on expertly crafted cocktails, nibble on a delightful menu of Pan Asian sharing plates (don’t miss the lobster dumplings) and relish in the lively atmosphere from a host of live DJ’s and entertainers. The colourful garden-style set-up offers an unrivalled vantage point over Haremtan Bay, where Bougainvillea-clad archways lead a pathway past neon signs which playful trace phrases such as “drunk in love” into the night.

Isola Ristorante is METT’s trendy Italian restaurant situated on a picturesque hilltop close to the historic windmills overlooking Bodrum Bay. Like its sister restaurant in Dubai’s Jumeirah Islands Clubhouse, Isola promotes a relaxing dining experience anchored around homemade pasta, Italian favourites and an extensive grape selection. With a menu rooted in coastal Italian cooking and devoted to the culinary traditions of the picturesque islands of Sicily, Sardinia and Capri, Isola provides Mediterranean hospitality and plenty of Italian charm.

OTTO is a traditional Turkish restaurant that doubles up as an all-day-dining spot. Situated close to the outdoor swimming pool, the venue boasts a stunning outdoor terrace for a leisurely breakfast of shakshuka, honey straight from the comb, and strong Turkish Coffee.

Folie is the pinnacle of the METT Bodrum experience. An Instagrammable Mediterranean seafood restaurant centred on excellent seafood and a lively social scene. Perched on a wooden deck just centimetres above the crystal clear ocean waters, Folie (meaning ‘madness’ in French) offers a menu defined by simplicity and sophistication.

Rest & Relaxation

Folie’s barefoot luxury extends out of the charming restaurant space and into the adjacent beach club, where a sun deck adorned with loungers and nets strung just above the waterline, provide the setting for sun-worshipping and ocean dips.

The resort is also home to the 850SQM MOI Spa, where skilled therapists will help lull you into a sense of serenity with a range of massages, facials and wellness treatments to soothe, pamper and invigorate the mind, body and soul. A salt room, steam room, sauna and temperature-controlled indoor swimming pool round out the facilities. Another established Dubai brand is evident in the state-of-the-art RAISE Fitness & Wellness centre.

Best of all, METT Hotel & Beach Resort Bodrum offers a base for exploring sandy coves, isolated islands and charming local villages. Offering a true haven for relaxation and recovery, METT Hotel & Beach Resort Bodrum is a place where chic oceanfront living combines debonair dining and endless ocean vistas. As the first hotel opening from Sunset Hospitality, METT Bodrum sets the bar for luxurious living. We are excited to see what’s next for the brand and its planned openings in Marbella, Tuscany Sardinia and Monaco.
