Oman announces new visa rules for more than 100 countries
Visitors will be able to stay in Oman visa free for up to 14 days.
Getting into Oman has just become easier, thanks to new visa rules. Oman has announced that tourists from more than 100 countries will be able to enter the country without a visa. So, if you’re planning on seeing the sights, from Muscat to Salalah, here’s what you need to know.
Residents from GCC countries will be able to visit Oman visa free. As long as the visitor’s GCC visa is valid for longer than three months, they will be able to enter Oman. Visitors will be able to stay for up to 14 days. Plus, visitors can apply for a one-month extension, which costs OMR 20.
Oman’s Foreign Ministry announced the countries that can enter Oman for up to 14 days. The countries include Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Cyprus, China, France, Germany, Greece, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore.
Indian citizens can enter Oman visa free if they are GCC residents, or if they have an entry visa for Canada, Japan, United Kingdom, the United States or Schengen countries.
This rule also applies to citizens in Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bhutan, Costa Rica, Cuba, Egypt, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Maldives, Mauritania, Mexico, Morocco, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
