The magical show rolls into Etihad Arena in April.
Roll up, roll up. Cirque du Soleil is bringing its magical show Crystal to Abu Dhabi. The world-famous circus troupe will descend onto Etihad Arena on Yas Island. Running from 26 April to 5 May, Crystal brings together jaw-dropping acrobatics, colourful costumes and a winter wonderland, which all comes to life on ice.
Crystal sees the performers ice skate their way around the stage in a magical display. The show sees the skaters combine multiple disciplines across acrobats and skating. The set pieces include synchronised skating, freestyle figures and, of course, traditional circus from aerial straps to a swinging trapeze.
Cirque du Soleil started life in 1984 by the street performers Guy Laliberté and Gilles Ste-Croix. Over the years, the company has produced Las Vegas shows including The Beatles Love and Michael Jackson: One. Plus, Cirque du Soleil has won multiple accolades, from seven Primetime Emmy Awards to a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
Cirque du Soleil has swung into the Middle East many times. The group performed at the Riyadh Season opening ceremony in October 2022, and Fuzion in Jeddah in April 2023. Plus, they even performed Messi 10 in Saudi Arabia, which was a tribute to the Argentinian footballer and the Kingdom’s tourism ambassador, Lionel Messi.
If you want to see the show, tickets go on sale soon. Member’s pre-sale tickets go on sale on 11 January from 12pm, and the general sale starts on 12 January. Tickets start from AED 175 and go up to AED 1,500.
