In the post on Instagram, Pro Active Entertainment ME also tagged Etihad Arena and What’s On Yas Island. Beetlejuice The Musical looks set to take place in Etihad Arena, although the exact dates have not yet been confirmed. All we know is that a full announcement will be made in May.
Beetlejuice The Musical is based on Tim Burton’s cult classic film, Beetlejuice. The musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a teenager dealing with grief and a distant father. She moves into a haunted house, and meets Beetlejuice. He is determined to break free from his curse. The catch: Lydia is the only one who can see him and lift the curse.
Beetlejuice The Musical brings together Tim Burton’s dark world of black comedy and gothic adventures. A mix of song and dance numbers have been added to the show, too. Fans of the film will remember Day O (Banana Boat Song), and the lines “Come Mr Tally Man, tally me banana”.
In 1988, the film Beetlejuice was originally released. The film starred Winona Ryder, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jones and Catherine O’Hara. The film was a commercial success, and made more than $84 million in the box office.
