The event will form part of the Abu Dhabi Festival taking place at NYU Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi is buzzing with an exciting entertainment lineup. From epic concerts and performances to cultural festivals, this capital has plenty to offer. To add to this list, it’s gearing up to pay tribute to jazz legend Quincy Jones as part of the Abu Dhabi Festival 2025.

Taking place on 29 April, Riley Mulherkar will take to the stage at The Black Box at NYU Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island with a tribute to Quincy Jones. The concert — part of the Abu Dhabi Festival 2025 — will feature the jazz singer collaborating with the brass quartet The Westerlies, promising a soulful performance that blends jazz with a contemporary twist. Expect tunes from his debut album, Riley, alongside pieces that give a nod to Quincy Jones.

This tribute concert not only honours the late jazz star but also honours UNESCO’s International Jazz Day on 30 April, for which Abu Dhabi is the Global Host City.

For those unversed with Quincy Jones, he’s the mastermind behind some of the greatest music in history, including Michael Jackson’s Thriller. He’s a jazz legend and has been a longtime friend of the Abu Dhabi Festival, having received the ADF Award in 2014. He passed away last year, and with Abu Dhabi being the Global Host City for UNESCO’s International Jazz Day this year, this tribute is a fitting one.

Tickets for the Abu Dhabi Festival 2025 are live now. And with the buzz around the UNESCO International Jazz Day and tribute to Quincy Jones, this one’s bound to sell out. Passes are priced at a starting price of AED 132 per person.

So, if you’re a jazz lover or simply someone who appreciates a great night out with amazing music, this tribute concert is one not to miss. Get ready to swing and sway with epic jazz tunes this International Jazz Day.
