Located in Al Qana, the restaurant serves Neapolitan pizzas.
BLU Pizzeriá is expanding from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. The much-loved homegrown pizza place is opening on Saadiyat Island, and bringing its Neapolitan-inspired creations to the city. While the opening date has not yet been confirmed, here’s what we do know about the new restaurant.
BLU Pizzeriá draws its inspiration from Naples, Italy, which is the birthplace of the humble pizzas. The wood-fired pizzas come with a range of toppings, which also have influences from the Middle East. If the original menu is anything to go by, then diners are in for a treat.
The menu includes classic and creative takes on pizzas, which are great for the more curious diner. The classics range from the Burrata with basil burrata, cheese and cherry tomatoes, to the Spicy Pepperoni with cheese, parmigiano reggiano and spicy salami.
The creative ones range from the Short Ribs with Black Angus short ribs, caramelised onions, and truffle white sauce to the Musakhan with chicken, cheese, and sour cream sauce. For a limited time only, there is the Spicy Wagyu Pizza with chilli jam, jalapeno pepper, ricotta cheese, and Wagyu beef. Plus, the dessert is also inspired by Italy and includes gelato.
If you can’t wait for the Abu Dhabi branch to open, head to the Dubai branch. BLU Pizzeriá is located in The Souk, Umm Suqeim Fishing Harbour. Located on the harbour, the restaurant has indoor and outdoor tables, and boasts views of the sea.
