Foo Fighters, Ava Max and Tiësto will take to the stage at Etihad Park this November.
It’s that time of year again. The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2023 is turning up the volume, and we are buzzing with excitement because the Yasalam After-Race Concert Series has announced the first international artists for this year’s race weekend.
Kicking things off on Thursday, 23 November, will be Ava Max and Tiësto. Hailing from Wisconsin, Ava Max burst onto the scene in 2018 with her debut single Sweet But Psycho, followed by the infectious earworms Kings & Queens and So Am I.
Tiësto is a legendary Dutch DJ and producer who has left an indelible mark on the electronic dance music scene. With a career spanning over two decades, Tiësto is often nicknamed The Godfather of EDM and is regarded as one of the pioneers of the genre. His innovative performances have earned him a global following thanks to the chart-topping hits, including Don’t Be Shy, The Business and The Motto.
Foo Fighters will headline race day on Sunday, 26 November. Formed by Dave Grohl in 1994, The American rock band is known for their high-energy performances and stadium anthems. The band’s catalogue of numerous chart-topping hits includes Best of You, Everlong, Learn To Fly and Monkey Wrench. With their infectious melodies, powerful guitar riffs, and introspective lyrics, the Foo Fighters have amassed a devoted fan base and earned critical acclaim.
The Foo Fighters were originally part of the Yasalam After-Race Concert Series in 2021, but the show was cancelled at the last minute due to “unforeseen medical circumstances.” This will be the band’s first performance in the UAE.
