SUSHISAMBA can be found across the world in Dubai, Doha, London, Miami and Las Vegas. Now, the world-famous restaurant is making its debut in Abu Dhabi and opening in Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers in November, marking the brand’s second location in the UAE.
The SUSHISAMBA brand is more than 20 years old. The concept draws its inspiration from Brazil, Japan and Peru, and brings together the rich cultures and cuisines of each country in a fascinating way. Unlike its Dubai counterpart, which soars above the city, SUSHISAMBA Abu Dhabi is nestled on Podium 1 of Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers. Spanning two floors, this architectural gem offers diners convenient valet access and proximity to the city’s scenic Corniche.
If you’re a fan of SUSHISAMBA, you’ll be excited to hear that SUSHISAMBA in Abu Dhabi will boast the brand’s familiar design, décor and DNA. Designed by Lazaro Rosa Violan studio, the venue invites guests into its vibrant world, beginning with the signature “READY TO SAMBA?” sign that sets the stage for a memorable meal. The ground floor, seating 100 guests, is a visual treat with rich textures, lush greenery, and warm tones that reflect the vibrant cultures of Brazil and Peru. An open kitchen, complete with sushi and robata grill counters, seats eight, while the outdoor terrace, framed by greenery, offers sweeping views of the seafront and accommodates up to 28 guests.
On the first floor, guests will find a private dining room for up to 14 people and an expansive outdoor terrace with a striking bar overlooking serene waters, perfect for gatherings of up to 100 guests. The floor also houses the venue’s hidden gem, SAMBAROOM, which transforms dinners into lively parties. With space for up to 50 guests, SAMBAROOM features its own bar and seamlessly merges the influences of Japan, Brazil, and Peru, creating a vibrant setting for both intimate and social dining experiences. During the cooler months, the outdoor terrace and SAMBAROOM will open up entirely, blending indoor and al fresco dining.
Under the leadership of Executive Chef Obed Villegas, SUSHISAMBA’s menu offers an eclectic range of dishes, crafted with premium ingredients and presented with artistic flair. Signature items include Japanese Tempura and Sushi, Peruvian Anticuchos and seviche, and show-stopping dishes like the Chilean Seabass Anticuchos, Asevichado Samba Roll, and the Ultimate Sushi and Sashimi platter. Guests can also indulge in Abu Dhabi exclusives, such as the SAMBA WagyuDhabi roll. The restaurant will source its seafood and fish directly from Japan, including Kinmedai, Amberjack, Hirame, and Tuna. Plus, the extensive drinks menu has bespoke concoctions, including Signature Caipirinha, SAMBA Melon Sour, and SAMBA Negroni.
