Dig into Emirati-inspired breakfast, bites and beverages.
FACT loves a cool collaboration. Now, Ethr and Jreed have opened a new pop-up in Al Ain Oasis. The event marks their third season, and here’s what to expect.
Located in the heart of the desert and among the palm trees, Ethr and Jreed’s space is sleek and sophisticated. The venue draws inspiration from traditional Emirati homes, and boasts a minimalism, muted design with browns and beiges. Plus, floor to ceiling windows, little lamps and potted plants.
Ethr and Jreed’s menu offers Emirati-inspired breakfast, lunch and desserts. In one post on Ethr’s Instagram, the caption reads: “Jreed, a name and concept inspired by traditional Emirati frond houses, invites you to slow down in our cosy cabin nestled in Al Ain’s oldest garden, the Oasis.”
The drinks menu includes an Americano, Cortado, Spanish Latte. Filter based drinks range from Brazilian V60 to an Ethiopian V60. Special coffees include Arabic Coffee, Dates Seed Coffee and Jreed Chai. Plus, there are a range of matcha, smoothies and tea.
The classic breakfast dishes include Avocado Toast, Eggs Benedict, and French Toast. The Emirati breakfast dishes include Chebab Pancakes, Khameer Scrambled Eggs, and Shakshouka and Khameer. The lunch dishes include Biriyani Dyay, Margoogah and soups. Plus, the desserts include Aseeda, Dates Pudding, Ghurs Agaili, Khabeesa, and Toasted Banana Bread.
Ethr is an award-winning destination in the UAE. In 2021, Ethr first opened in Mamsha Al Saadiyat, and was inspired by traditional forts in the country.
The Ethr and Jreed pop-up in Al Ain Oasis is open daily from 8am to 10pm. Check in with FACT for the latest things to do in the UAE.
