This restaurant from Chef James Soo Yong Kim has been redefining the culinary landscape in the capital.
If you’re in the mood for a dining experience that challenges the norm, Les Dangereux in Abu Dhabi is the place to be. Nestled in the vibrant Mamsha Al Saadiyat, Executive Chef James Soo Yong Kim’s innovative restaurant is making waves in the capital’s culinary scene — and now, it’s taking things up a notch.
Les Dangereux has recently expanded its horizons beyond an exclusive tasting menu, unveiling a chic à la carte French menu. This upgrade adds a whole new layer of excitement to your dining experience, giving you the freedom to pick and choose from a tempting array of options.
The Le Saison menu, priced at AED 550, features a family-style feast celebrating hyper-seasonal ingredients from the restaurant’s very own farm on Yas Island. The à la carte menu showcases 36 new dishes, including classics like Escargot, Liver Mousse and Steak Tartare, accentuating Chef Kim’s dedication to authenticity and quality with various premium steak options.
The maestro also makes the restaurant’s most celebrated dishes accessible with the Treats for One Menu, allowing guests to sample the tasting menu’s highlights. This initiative lets guests experience the 12-course degustation without a full commitment, including the popular Caviar & Egg, Escargots and Laban and the G.T.O.A.T (greatest tiramisu of all time).
Les Dangereux stands out as the first of its kind in Abu Dhabi, offering a degustation experience that revolves around fine dining, storytelling, and a level of finesse rarely seen in the UAE capital. The intimate setting, adorned with arched mirrors, gold accents, and ivory seating, exudes a soothing ambience that perfectly complements its beachfront locale. While floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning views of the sand-sculpted shoreline, the kitchen steals the spotlight.
Les Dangereux secured ‘Best Newcomer’ at the FACT Dining Awards Abu Dhabi 2023 and ‘Best Opening of the Year’ from the MICHELIN Guide Abu Dhabi 2024. Amidst this acclaim, the 15-course Le Voyage Chef’s Tasting Menu remains a signature, while the recent addition of the à la carte menu enhances flexibility with a broader range of choices, making it a must-visit for gastronomes in the capital.
