Dai Pai Dong’s Chef Dong teams up on a four-hand dinner.
Chef Kelvin Cheung has announced an exciting event. The mastermind behind the FACT award-winning Jun’s in Dubai will bring Nomad Supper Club to Abu Dhabi. On 5 April, he will create a four-hands dinner with Chef Dong at Dai Pai Dong in Rosewood, Abu Dhabi, and it looks set to be a memorable meal.
The Nomad Supper Club, presented by Abu Dhabi Culinary, promises a tasty night out. The experience aims to shine a spotlight on local talent, and offer a fusion of traditional and contemporary flavours. The eight-course menu will showcase each chef’s signature style, and combine their creativity.
Chef Kelvin is of Chinese origin. He was born in Canada, raised in Chicago and described himself as a third culture kid. He is a third-generation chef and grew up surrounded by food. When it comes to his recipes, he draws from his North American upbringing, French training and Chinese heritage. Over his career, he has featured in the MICHELIN Guide, MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants and the FACT Dining Awards Dubai.
Chef Dong comes from a family of Cantonese chefs and believes in cooking with heart. He is at the helm of the kitchen in Dai Pai Dong, which prides itself on its authentic Chinese flavours. Plus, it is also home to a 1920s-inspired speakeasy, Dragon’s Tooth.
Tickets for Chef Kelvin’s Nomad Supper Club are available now and start from AED 588 for non-alcoholic and AED 688 for pairing.
