The cafés will be located in Dubai Mall, Yas Mall and more.

Something is brewing in the UAE. The London coffee company, Black Sheep Coffee, is expanding to Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The new branches will be located in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Mall, and Dubai’s Act Tower, Boulevard Plaza Towers and Dubai Mall.

Black Sheep Coffee launched in London, England. In 2013, the company started with the help of crowdfunding on Kickstarter. The first branch is located in Camden and was founded by Eirik Holth and Gabriel Shohet.

The tagline is “leave the herd behind”, and aims to stand out from the café crowd. The brand prides itself on not using single-use plastic, and offers free coffee to homeless people. The three different venues include a café, café express and coffee and cocktails concept. Today, it has more than 85 cafés across the world, and it can be found in countries ranging from France to the United States.

Black Sheep Coffee is famous for using robusta coffee beans. If the international menus are anything to go by, the UAE is in for a treat. The hot drinks include Americano, Cappuccino, Espresso and Flat White. The cold drinks include Iced Americano, Iced Latte, Iced Matcha Latte and Iced Mocha. Plus, there are a range of freshly prepared smoothies.

The food menu includes bagels, cakes, pastries and toasties. The sweet treats include a Blueberry Muffin, Mini Donut and Ultimate Brownie. The savoury options include a Cheese and Tomato Toastie, Salt Beef Bagel, and Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Bagel.

The opening dates for Black Sheep Coffee’s Abu Dhabi and Dubai branches have not yet been confirmed. Check in with FACT for the latest details.
