Brooklyn Chop House and Pappas New York will bring a taste of the Big Apple to the UAE capital.
Abu Dhabi is once again elevating its dynamic dining scene. W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island is gearing up to welcome not one, but two new dining concepts before the end of the year.
Straight from the streets of the Big Apple, Brooklyn Chop House and Pappas New York will make their international debuts at the only hotel in the world to span a Formula 1 Race Track.
Expecting to draw big crowds, Brooklyn Chop House brings its unique twist to the capital by combining traditional steakhouse dishes with bold Asian flavours. Founded by hip-hop impresario Robert Cummins, famously known as Don Pooh, and David Thomas, the restaurant embodies the cultural fusion that makes New York so iconic.
The steakhouse combines the love of art and food. Expect dumplings, satays, salads, soups, and, of course, their signature selection of steaks and chops. One of their most indulgent steaks in the US costs $189, which is almost AED 700, so prepare for some hefty price tags.
Next up is Pappas New York which is rooted in the rich culinary traditions of Greece but with a modern twist. This restaurant is all about live, wood-fired cooking and bold, fresh flavours. Expect dishes like grilled octopus, chicken souvlaki, tuna tartare, skewers and lobster pasta, all inspired by the sun-soaked coastlines of the Mediterranean. Pappas New York is a 21+ venue, so whether the Abu Dhabi version will follow suit remains a mystery.
The restaurants will replace the now-defunct Indian restaurant Angar and the Italian eatery Amici. So, if you’re in the mood for a superb steakhouse experience or craving the flavours of the Mediterranean, these two new openings at W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island look set to deliver a memorable meal.
