The UAE is home to a wide array of dining concepts. Whether it’s world-renowned chains or homegrown hotspots, the country has never been short on incredible places to eat. Among these culinary favourites is Public, a popular venue known for its legendary tiramisu. And now, it has officially made its way to the capital with the opening of Public Abu Dhabi.
Public Abu Dhabi has opened at the capital’s Al Bateen Marina. This waterfront location, combined with the chilly weather, provides the perfect spot for this restaurant so that customers can truly enjoy its offerings.
The tiramisu is the star of the show at Public Abu Dhabi. Served tableside from a family-size bowl, this dessert is presented with theatrics by the staff. It features a blend of smooth and creamy mascarpone cheese without being sticky, combined with perfectly soft and moist biscuits. Topped off with a drizzle—or more if you like—of espresso, this Tiramisu is as good as it gets.
At the moment, Public Abu Dhabi will only be serving coffee and desserts with plans to expand their menu soon. If its Dubai and Riyadh branches are anything to go by, expect the likes of pizzas, pasta and much more on the agenda. The pizzas include BBQ Ring with BBQ ranch, wagyu beef and short ribs; and Truffle Shuffle with truffle cream and mozzarella. The pastas and risottos include Crazy Truffle, Crispy Lasagna, Grandma’s Spaghetti, Lobster Spaghetti, Saffron Shrimp Risotti, Spicy Rigatoni, Truffle Tagliolini and Veal Lemon.
Public first won hearts in Dubai, with its flagship outpost in Dubai Mall. Since then, it has expanded to prime locations like the Museum of the Future, The Square, and Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The brand has even ventured beyond the UAE to Saudi Arabia, with openings in Riyadh and Khobar, and now, Abu Dhabi has finally taken its turn.
