‘Tis the season for pretty pop-ups. The Bench has opened a pop-up at The Founder Memorial in Abu Dhabi. The location has an Insta-worthy view of the capital’s skyline, and is a superb spot to sit and sip the day away. The venue is already standing out on social media, so if you’re on the hunt for a cool café, here’s what you need know.
The Bench in Abu Dhabi’s pop-up boasts a clean, contemporary aesthetic. The discreet destination is surrounded by beige and white stones, and a stunning outdoor space. The white space is punctuated by gorgeous greenery, and is complemented by the brand’s signature green hues, which can be spotted from afar.
The Bench in Abu Dhabi serves a range of drinks and desserts. The hot and cold beverages include a Decaf Spanish Latte, Hot Matcha Latte and Pink Matcha. Plus, there are sweet treats that come in pretty presentations.
The Bench also has a permanent café in Crescent Al Raha. The trendy café has been laid out for visitors to linger. Choose from tables or sofas, and the space includes chess sets and old record players. Plus, the venue has a jungle chic vibe, and is decorated with hanging plants and rattan lamps.
The Founders Memorial stands as a beacon of history and remembrance. This poignant tribute commemorates the life and legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the United Arab Emirates. More than a mausoleum, the site is home to “The Constellation,” a three-dimensional artwork composed of 1,327 geometric shapes suspended within a 30-meter pavilion that transforms Sheikh Zayed’s likeness into a constellation of shimmering stars.
Abu Dhabi has been welcoming cool cafés. Ergon Deli & Café opened in Erth Hotel, and serves Greek drinks and dishes. Bayn Coffee opened in Al Ain’s Qasr Al Muwaiji and is a sleek spot for coffee and cake.
The Bench in Abu Dhabi at The Founder Memorial is open daily from 4pm to 11pm.
