The brand is famous for its burgers, breakfasts and coffee.
The UAE’s love of burgers seemingly knows no bounds. Whether tucking into homegrown favourites from High Joint, Pickl or Salt or enjoying celebrity-fronted concepts like Lewis Hamilton’s Neat Burger, the country’s appetite for juicy burgers cannot be satiated.
So it’s no surprise that a new burger joint opened in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Mall over the weekend. Located opposite VOX Cinemas and close to the food court, Boo Burger has made its Middle Eastern debut.
The popular burger concept hails from the Midlands, bringing its famous burgers, breakfasts and coffee to the capital. The first branch of Boo Burger opened in Leicester in 2017 before expanding to Birmingham, Derby, Loughborough, Manchester, Nottingham and Preston, offering a unique twist on American burger bar classics and a penchant for using the best British and Irish-sourced products.
Famous for its burgers, fries and shakes, popular choices include the OG Classic (Angus beef, white onion, American cheese, ketchup and French mustard inside a soft brioche bun), Chick-A-Boo (crispy chicken breast, round leaf lettuce and house spicy mayo) and the playfully titled Booloumi (halloumi cheese, crispy onion strings, round leaf lettuce, tomatoes and sweet onion relish). Sides include Ziggy Fries, Wings and Crunchy Chicken Bites, and if shakes are your thing, four flavours are available: chocolate, strawberry, peanut butter and vanilla.
Boo offers more than just burgers and is known for its menu of breakfast favourites, such as Egg and Sausage (free-range Egg, Kielbasa sausage, American cheese and maple Sriracha mayo in a brioche bun) or Egg and Beef Rashers (free-range egg, beef rashers, American cheese and maple Sriracha mayo) paired with freshly brewed hot or iced coffee.
The store in Yas Mall takes the futuristic Boo design imbued with Art Deco touches and runs with it. An industrial feel from the corrugated metalwork, silver countertops, exposed ceiling ducts, and the monochromatic colour scheme provides the perfect backdrop for the bright LED screens displaying the menu.
With playful branding, including napkins that read “Hey Boo”, Boo Burger has gained a considerable following in the United Kingdom. Judging by the lengthy queues this weekend, Boo Burger looks to achieve the same success here in the Emirates.
