The concept has been created by the team behind Galaxy Bar and Flamingo Room by tashas.

Abu Dhabi, it’s time to raise a glass, as there’s a new bar in town. Perlage has opened on The Galleria Al Maryah Island and specialises in Champagne. So, if you’re looking to add some sparkle to your day, here’s what you need to know.

Perlage in Abu Dhabi oozes old-school glamour. The décor feels like you’re stepping into a 1920s Hollywood star’s dressing room. The venue boasts shades of red across its small round tables, pillars, banquettes and chairs, which are punctuated by bursts of grey across its low-lit table lights and glitter balls on the ceiling. The soft velvet textures and artwork by established artists add a touch of luxury.

In French, perlage translates to string of pearls. The term describes the bubbly effervescence in sparkling drinks, especially in a glass of Champagne. The concept has been created by restaurateur Natasha Sideris – she is behind Galaxy Bar, which was featured on World’s 50 Best Bars 2023, and Flamingo Room by tashas, which recently expanded to Abu Dhabi. Plus, the team have partnered with Maison Perrier-Jouët to create the Champagne-based menu.

Look out for the quirky touches at Perlage in Abu Dhabi. The drink’s menu includes creative concoctions with playful names. The list includes Born to Be Wild, which is a nod to the Steppenwolf rock song, and How ‘bout Them Apples, which is a reference from the film Good Will Hunting. Oh, and guests will be served by bartenders in overalls.
