In the UAE, the end of the year brings with it a bucketload of events. One permanent fixture that has been gracing the Abu Dhabi calendar since 2009 is the F1 Weekend. And this year, Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2024 is returning with more adrenaline-packed action.
Taking place at Yas Marina Circuit from 6 to 8 December, the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2024 will mark the grand finale of the F1 racing season. Fans are in for three days of high-octane fun, making this one event to look out for.
On The Track
The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2024 will feature a lineup of events. On the track, the weekend kicks off with two practice sessions, followed by the thrilling qualifying session on day two. This determines the starting positions for the main race and sets the stage for the final lap. The last day sees the grand finale, where 20 drivers will race 58 laps, covering a total distance of over 300 kilometres.
This year will see Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris amongst many other renowned drivers. However, fans are excited to see Lewis Hamilton this season as this will be his last race with Mercedes.
Concerts
Kicking off the after-race concerts on Thursday, 5 December, are Teddy Swims and South Korean DJ Peggy Gou, who will bring high energy to set the tone for the thrilling weekend. The Yasalam After-Race concerts will then continue with an incredible lineup of Maroon 5 on Friday, 6 December, Eminem on Saturday, 7 December, and Muse will close out the race weekend on Sunday, 8 December.
