Get ready for a serious glow up. Abu Dhabi’s Space42 Arena has unveiled a new glow-in-the-dark experience, running throughout August and promising a one-of-a-kind indoor sporting adventure.
Step inside the 2,400-square-metre venue and you’ll find yourself immersed in a neon-lit playground designed to take sport, music and socialising to the next level. From a 3×3 football pitch and a neon skateboarding park to a running track, food trucks and live DJ sets, this is a summer sporting experience with a twist.
The highlight is Space42’s new glow-in-the-dark padel courts. Officially launched this month, the courts feature premium flooring, glass walls, and professional-grade netting – all illuminated by striking neon lights and soundtracked by high-energy beats from 4pm each evening. Perfect for a spirited match, whether you’re playing with friends or brushing up on your game. Padel or tennis shoes are required, with two players per team.
Adding to the mix is a Ladies-Only Night every Thursday from 4pm, alongside daily glow sessions from 4pm to 11pm. Regular daytime slots are available from 6am for those who prefer a more traditional setting.
As part of the wider Abu Dhabi Summer Sports programme, the glow-in-the-dark arena enhances the capital’s mission to keep residents active and engaged throughout the hotter months. The initiative transforms venues into vibrant indoor hubs for fitness and fun, offering a range of activities from casual to professional-grade facilities. By hosting sports and lifestyle events under one roof, the campaign encourages a healthier lifestyle while making Abu Dhabi a year-round destination for recreation.
